Anne Bopp, Principal
Anne Bopp was born and raised a college professor's daughter in River Forest , Illinois . One of seven children, she grew up attending Grace Lutheran School, in River Forest, and graduated from Walther Lutheran High School in Melrose Park, Illinois. Seeking adventure, she left her Concordia, River Forest home (she grew up on the campus!), and headed to the west to attend Concordia, Portland, OR.
Anne majored in elementary education and wrapped up her degree a little early so she could graduate with her soon to be husband, Ron. Having taught a brief time at Hope Lutheran, Seattle, WA to finish out the term for a teacher who was transferred, Anne then accepted a call to Grace Lutheran School, Pocatello, ID to teach second grade.

While beginning her teaching career, Anne also began her master's degree at Idaho State University. Upon completion, Anne accepted a position at the INNEL, only to return to her love for teaching after the birth of her first child, Samantha.
After 20 years, three children (Sam, Ben and Ryan) and three different grade levels/positions at Grace, Anne recently accepted the position of principal, this April. Anne's passion is children and the development of programs and experiences that enrich their faith experience and talents given to them by God. It is with thanks to Him and gratefulness to her supportive husband, children, colleagues, and school families that she celebrates 20 years in teaching this year. |
