Grace Lutheran School has received the
highest honor given by the United States Department of Education.
Three staff members of Grace Lutheran School traveled to Washington,
D.C. to receive the National Blue Ribbon School Award. We
were honored to be present with The First Lady, Laura Bush,
at this ceremony.
Only one in about 700 schools across our
country receives the National Blue Ribbon School Award. Grace
Lutheran School is the only Idaho school to have received
this award within the last 10 years.
In order to receive the National Blue
Ribbon School Award, a school must participate in a 3-year
process which includes on-site visits by representatives of
The United States Department of Education. National Blue Ribbon
Schools are also distinguished by their academic scores, parent
volunteerism, and additional opportunities for students outside
the classroom.
